Emergency Appeal – Rohingya Muslims from Myanmar (Burma)

The Rohingya population in Myanmar is estimated at 1.5 million, the majority of them in Rakhine state near the border with Bangladesh. Across the country, 500,000 Rohingya are internally displaced – many in camps from which they are not allowed to leave – and about 800,000 are stateless and have no rights or access to basic services.

The Rohingya Muslim minority in Myanmar (Burma) is regarded by the United Nations as one of the world’s most persecuted communities have once again come under attack. Thousands have been killed. Survivors are seeking refuge in neighbouring countries. Men, women and children are all in desperate need of your support.
